can not get sound from head phone slot on model ICUSBAUDIO7D.

Hello,

I have the following issue with model ICUSBAUDIO7D plug headphone lead into the head phone slot on the device and no sound comes from the speakers, I have download the driver from the startech webpage and have installed the device on windows 10 22H2.

Any help to fix this issue would be great.

Thank you.

Hello Apache060 and thank you for your interest in our Community.

By default, the ICUSBAUDIO7D will output through the front speaker ports. To change it to “Headphones”, simply double-click on the “Xear Audio Center” icon in your notification area (bottom-right next to the clock) to bring up the Xear Audio Center.

Once in Xear Audio Center, simply right-click on the “Speakers” icon (left side), select “Speaker Settings” and then from the list on the right, change “Speaker” to “HeadPhone”. This will now allow the headphone jack to output the sound as well.

I hope this helps! Please do feel free to contact us back again should there be anything else we could do to help.

Hello,

Yes, that message in fact is a quick hint about exactly what I’m guiding you to do. Once you close that message, you should then be able to follow my instructions and click on the particular options. Here are the steps, but with visual aid:

→ Step 1: Right-click on the “Speakers” icon and select “Speaker Settings”

→ Step 3: After 2-3 seconds of loading, your menu should now change and look like this:

With “Headphone” now selected on the left. When you see this, you should now be good to go and sound should now come out of both the front headphone jack as well as the font green Stereo out.

I hope this helps! Please do feel free to contact us back again should there be anything else we could do to help.
