How do I select the new added StarTech USB Bluetooth Controller on macOS 15 (Sequoia, Apple Silicon)? The modern OS GUI doesn’t seem to provide a way to select it, and I can’t find a Terminal command that will work. My thanks.

Hello @Gaitskell,

Thank you for posting on the [Startech.com](http://Startech.com) community!

Our AV53C1-USB-BLUETOOTH is only supported with Windows and Linux operating systems, and is unfortunately not supported with MacOS, as seen in our [technical specifications](https://www.startech.com/en-us/networking-io/av53c1-usb-bluetooth#technical-specifications). If you are within the return period with where you purchased the adapter, I would recommend returning it if you do not have anywhere else that you could use it.

For an alternative adapter that would be compatible with MacOS 15, I would recommend our USBBT1EDR4. However please not that this adapter is Bluetooth 4.0 instead of 5.3 and has a maximum range of 50m (165ft).

I apologize for the confusion. If there is anything else we may be able to help with, please let us know.

Lukas T
