Hey everyone,

I have started using a bunch of USB-C accessories with my laptop and other devices & I wanted to tap into the community here for some help. While USB-C is supposed to be this universal, super convenient connection, I have noticed a few weird things happening—such as some cables not charging properly or certain docks not being recognized by my computer.

Has anyone else experienced issues with StarTech USB-C products or just USB-C in general? Any tips on how to make sure everything works smoothly? Also, if you have favorite USB-C hubs or adapters that just work without fuss, please share!

I am also diving into a Python tutorial to automate some device checks, so if anyone has advice on combining USB-C hardware with programming, that would be awesome.

Also i have check this [Ethernet drops out on high CPU load for USB-C Multiport Adapter](https://community.startech.com/t/ethernet-drops-out-on-high-cpu-load-for-usb-c-multiport-adapter/1053) still need tips. I want to hear your real-world experiences, especially if you’ve found good workarounds or fixes for common USB-C quirks.

Thank you.🙂

Hello @Sakura,

Thank you for posting on the [Startech.com](http://Startech.com) Community!

As troubleshooting steps will vary depending on the specific [Startech.com](http://Startech.com) product, the hardware (computer, displays, etc.) being used with it and the specific issue, there are only a few generalized recommendations we could offer for troubleshooting steps without know the specific details.

I would recommend checking with the manufacturer of your computer for updates to any of the following for your specific model of computer:
- Drivers e.g. USB controllers, graphics card, etc.
- Firmware
- BIOS/UEFI

In addition to the above, I would check if the USB-C device you are using has drivers of its own and that you have the latest version installed.

Regarding your question about automating device checks or programming with USB-C hardware, this would be beyond our support. I apologize for the inconvenience.

If you are experiencing issues with a specific [Startech.com](http://Startech.com) product, I would recommend reaching out to our support team via phone or live chat: [StarTech.com Support](https://www.startech.com/en-us/support). Live interactions through phone or live chat allow us to better understand what is happening, allowing us to provide the best support and can often have a quicker turnaround to a resolution.

If there is anything else we could help with, please let us know!
