When ordering a powered items such as docking stations we are typically ordering for a specific region. It would be nice to be able to specify ‘North American power supply only’ or to be able to select which adapters are desired. This way we don’t end up with a large collection of unused adapters for regions where the units will not be deployed.
As an alternative, perhaps a return/recycle location where unused, unneeded adapters can be sent or dropped off. This would likely reduce some of the electronic waste being generated and overtime with order statistics perhaps lower some manufacturing costs. StarTech wouldn’t need to stock 4 types of adapters for each item but rather only the commonly ordered adapter types.
