Integra with LG WebOS?

I struggle with getting sound from my LG WebOS TV connecting HDMI eARC port to my Integra A/V Receiver. I have ethernet cabling between but a normal HMDI extender does not work as it seems like it has to be bi-directional.

Would HDBaseT Extender be able to solve that issue and if so, how would I connect the receiver and extender?

Hello @davidalmstrom and thank you for your interest in our Community.

I would like to begin by stating that support for ARC/eARC must be specifically listed on the extender in question since this is often an optional component to extension solutions.

That being said, would it be possible to know the needed distance between your TV and your sound system? This would allow us to find the compatible solutions for ARC/eARC.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks for quick response.

it’s about 10m at most.

Hello @davidalmstrom, thank you for the information.

At that distance, I would strongly recommend to simply go with a direct cable instead of an extension solution. For example, our HDMI2-CABLE-4K60-10M supports HDMI 2.0 (4K @ 60Hz) and ARC at a length of 10m.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have any further questions and have an excellent day!

Unfortunately, the constructor prematurely cabled in-walls with CAT6 cables. so I need to figure out a way to use HDMI over Ethernet

Thank you for the confirmation @davidalmstrom.

Since you are required to find a solution over Ethernet, my recommendation would be for our 4K70IC-EXTEND-HDMI. However, please note that this will support ARC but not eARC. eARC (higher bandwidth) specifically requires a direct HDMI connection at this time.

I hope this fits your needs and have an excellent day!
