I am using a F35023-USB-EXTENDER to, well, extend my USB from a PC to another room.
Here is the wiring :
USB 3 port on PC → F35023 transmitter → Optic fiber cable → F35023 receiver → USB 3 Hub → x3 USB 2 cables leading to 3 ports.
The receiver second port also leads to a screen using an HDMI cable.
The problem is that my USB keys are sometimes randomly corrupted after a data transfer (they appear empty as if formated once I plug them on another PC). Or sometimes the transferred data is not transferred, once I plug the USB key on another computer the files are not present.
During my investigation, I removed the Hub and simply connected my keys directly on the receiver. I noticed that some USB2 keys which work perfectly when directly plugged in the PC, are not recognized when plugged in the receiver USB port. Some on the other hand seem to work just fine.
The USB3 keys still fails but less often than the USB2.
The sporadic nature of the problem makes it hard to exactly pinpoint what is wrong.
This F35023-USB-EXTENDER component should not require any additionnal drivers to work according to Startech’s datasheet.
However I can still use a keyboard and mouse.
Does somebody have any leads or ideas I could test ?

What is the distance between the transmitter and receiver?
To clarify, are the mouse and keyboard that continue to work also connecting through the extender?

What is the make and model of your computer? I cannot give the exact model of the computer. It is a rackmount industrial computer running Windows 10.
What is the distance between the transmitter and receiver? Between 15 and 50 meters. Well under the 350m limit.
To clarify, are the mouse and keyboard that continue to work also connecting through the extender? Yes

We tested with multiple USB3 Hubs : - Vention 4-port USB3.0 Hub with Power Supply - Poss PSHUB30
For the USB keys used : - Philips FM32FD70B USB2.0 32GB This is the one not recognized. - ENUODA USB2.0 16GB Recognized but can be corrupted - Verbatim V3 Max USB3.2 32GB Ref: 49806 Usable but can sometimes be corrupted
