Installed the latest Drivers on the Website for Audio Center. The selection for speakers is grayed out and cannot select speakers to then select SPDIF Out, which the end goal. If I run an Windows 10 VM (VMWare Workstation) on this windows 11 physical server and pass through the [ICUSBAUDIO7D USB Device, I can select the speakers/SPDIF Out and it does work in that VM on the physical Win 11 server. What can be done to fix it, as if it does work in a VM, it isn’t a misconfigured connection.
Hello @Tom ,
Thank you for taking the time to ask your question here on the StarTech.com Community!
I may have some more questions if the following suggestion does not work. This situation seems familiar so I suggest trying the following steps.
- In the XEAR Software that is installed with the drivers for the ICUSBAUDIO7D, check if the Headphone selected and set as the default audio device.
- Right-click on the “Headphone” on the left side menu to reveal the “Headphone Settings”
- Click on the “Headphone Settings”. then click the dropdown on the right side and try selecting ‘speakers’, or ‘SPDIF’ there.
- Test if the SPDIF is now working.
Please let me know how that goes, or if these steps do not match what you are seeing and I can take a moment to review and do our best to help.
Sincerely,
