Sign Up & Create Your Profile
- By signing up and creating a profile you’re immediately enhancing your experience within the StarTech.com IT Pro Community. By registering you can join in the conversation, ask questions, and start earning points to level up within the community.
Within your profile, you can:
Upload your profile picture
- Edit your notification preferences to stay up to date on all aspects of the community that interest you
- Check your inbox and send messages
- Review the badges you’ve earned through your participation within the StarTech.com IT Pro Community
Engage with Users
Make sure you’re engaging with the community! If you have a question, an answer to a question, or an interesting bit of information to add to a discussion, make sure you speak up! If you find a discussion interesting, give it a like! You can also tag (@) other users in your posts if you’d like their advice specifically. The more you give in the community, the more you’ll get out of it.
We also have a section where all unanswered or open questions are consolidated, and we encourage members to check this board out if they’d like to lend a helping hand to their fellow community members. While the StarTech.com team will be regularly active to monitor the community and answer questions, if you check this board and see a topic or discussion you can contribute your expertise to, we’d love to hear from you!
Stay Connected to Your Top Interest Categories
If there is a particular discussion board or topic you’re interested in, the bell icon within the discussion board will allow you to follow the category so that you’re kept up to date on all activity.
Keep an eye on this icon in the top menu bar as well for all of your notification alerts.

If you have a question or are interested in a specific tech topic, search is a great way to quickly get a bird’s eye view on all related discussions and articles within the StarTech.com IT Pro Community. We recommend using search before posting a discussion or question to check if a chat has already been started around the topic.
