two Transcend TS2TMTS970T in a SM22BU31C1R
Disk LEDs light up for one second then blink 5 times and go out
DIP switches set to On/Off/On → RAID 1
Disks can be partitioned with compmgmt.msc and formatted as exFAT but show up as two disks in Windows explorer.
How to set them up as RAID 1 for use with Mac and Windows?
If I configure them as mirrored drive I can only format as NTFS which cannot be written to by Mac
How do I set up the device so that it uses both TS2TMTS970T in a RAID 1?
Thank You for halp
Nikolaus

Hello @AdamS
I think I solved the problem by boldly pressing the undocumented pushbutton on the circuit board while it was was outside the case and powered on.
This seems to have resetted the RAID controller so the two disks are now presented as one in the Windows compmgmt.msc and could be formatted as exFAT
greetings
Nikolaus
I am very glad to hear you were able to resolve this and is working with the exFAT filesystem!
Yes, the procedure for properly setting the RAID mode for the SM22BU31C3R is described in the Quick Start guide for the product here: https://sgcdn.startech.com/005329/media/sets/SM22BU31C3R_Manual/SM22BU31C3R_dual-slot_enclosure_start_guide.pdf
This describes the dip switch settings as well as the RAID set button used to initiate the specific RAID mode selected.
