3 display system, with display 1 as desktop, display 2 extended and display 3 to mirror display 2

For church AV we have a Dell Optiplex 7020 (Windows 11) with the Desktop display (DP2) as Display 1, and a projector (VGA) as Display 2 extended from Display 1. [The software, Zionworx, shows song words etc on the extended display]. I recently added an adaptor (USB32HD2) connected to a rear display for the service leader/music group to see. On first installation, the Windows Display menu now had the option to mirror Displays 2 & 3 - i.e. both showing the same extended screen as was wanted.

Today, the mirror option had disappeared. Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling has not helped (just back to the default Windows options of extending displays 2 and 3 and or mirroring the Desktop display. Any ideas on how to fix this? It seems unlikely to be a hardware fault in the adapter…

Hello @Phil and thank you for your interest in our Community.

Sometimes, monitor profiles can have issues with mirror/extended mode after some video graphics changes or updates.

I would recommend to first set all of your displays in Extended mode. This will allow you to verify that each monitor is well connected, detected and functional within Windows. You should also restart at this point, makings sure the video card loads a fresh session with all of the monitor profiles detected individually.

Once this is done, you should then be able to choose which pair you want to group as mirror (you can only pair 2 together as mirror). Please also make sure that the right monitor is selected as Primary. You cannot make a Primary monitor a mirror of another monitor without first making that other monitor into the Primary display.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if there’s anything else we could do to help.
