I am considering purchasing a U.3 to PCIe Adapter Card to use a Micron 7500 PRO.
As a requirement, I need to be able to operate the SSD via SMBus, is SMBus available on the PEX4SFF8639U3?

After reviewing the PEX4SFF8639U3 specifications, and technical specifications from the Micron site for the 7500 PRO I would expect these two products to be a fit for each other.
You may want to confirm compatibility for NVMe SSDs for your motherboard.
To answer your questing about SMBus. The PEX4SFF8639U3 is a passive adapter that allows you to connect the NVMe SSD directly to the PCIe bus on the motherboard. As long as the motherboard had the correct specifications then it will work. The specifications for the PEX4SFF8639U3 do not list a chipset.
