I need a KM switch that can support 4 PCs that all have extended displays. I ordered a P4A20132-KM-SWITCH thinking it would be able to handle it but I’m struggling. It works perfect on the primary display but it won’t ever go to the extended display. I plug the standard mouse/keyboard into the PC directly and it has no problems. Greatly appreciate any advice or setting that needs changed.
The mouse switching feature for the P4A20132-KM-SWITCH will only allow the mouse to work on the computer’s main display. If a computer has multiple extended displays, the mouse pointer is unable to roam to any secondary extended displays. This is meant to be used with systems that have just one monitor per computer.
Yes there is! We have our HBS304A24A - 4 to 4 USB 3.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch. This can be used to connect up to 4 USB peripherals to up to 4 computers. And this will have no restriction on the mouse pointer being able to be used on all extended displays for each computer. The only restriction here is that this does not have the “mouse roaming” feature so you would need to manually switch between which computer is currently using the connected USB peripherals using the physical switch button included.
