Mouse roaming with multiple monitors

I have an enterprise PC with 3 monitors and a laptop that I have physically placed to the left of my desktop monitors. My physical arrange is as follows

Laptop – M1 – M2 – M3

M1-M3 are connected to my enterprise desktop.

I have the P4A2013-KM-Switch, and I have assigned my enterprise desktop as PC 2 and my laptop as PC1 for mouse roaming.

When I enablemouse roaming, I find that while I do seamlessly go from my laptop to M1, I then lose access to M2 and M3 when I reach M1.

Is there a workaround to this issue or is this a limitation of the switch. Does Startech have another KVM or KM switch that allows for extended displays on a single computer

Thank you for posting on the Startech.com Community. We apologize for the frustration with our P4A20132-KM-SWITCH.

Unfortunately, mouse roaming is limited to the primary display of a computer and will not work over extended displays. The roaming expects to switch to a different computer when it reaches the edge of a monitor and so prevents moving to an extended monitor.

Can you please try disabling mouse roaming and try switching between computers using the host selection buttons on the front of the switch or the hot keys described in the command guide here?

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the honest answer. I am able to switch using hotkeys and the front switch no problem. Ill do this for now, but does Star tech sell a different product that would accommodate multi monitor setups? Thanks again!

I am glad to hear that everything works as expected if you switch using hotkeys or the buttons.

Unfortunately, we do not have an alternative that supports mouse roaming that can support extended displays. I apologize for the inconvenience.
