Lost a port ethernet on a ST10GPEXNDPI card after an upgrade

To connect my four cameras via 10G Ethernet, I purchased two ST10GPEXNDPI Ethernet cards. As the transfer speed was unsatisfactory, I updated the driver and firmware provided by Intel.
Since the update, only one port on each card is working. I can see all four ports in Device Manager, but in the Network and Sharing Center, only one port per card appears as connected; the other shows a red 'X' and does not detect a connected network cable.
Consequently, I am unable to configure the connections for my other two cameras.
Thank you for your help.

Hello @cwiertel,

Thank you for posting on the StarTech.com Community. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing difficulties with the ST10GPEXNDPI.

To help us determine the next troubleshooting steps, could you please confirm:

  • What is the make and model of your computer?

  • What operating system are you using?

Could you also clarify where you downloaded the drivers and firmware update? The latest supported drivers for the ST10GPEXNDPI are available on the product page on our website. We do not currently offer a firmware update for this card, so I’d like to confirm where the firmware came from and whether it is expected to work with this product.

I would also recommend contacting our Support team for a live troubleshooting session while you have the equipment available. This allows us to perform more in-depth troubleshooting and can often lead to a quicker resolution. Once the issue is resolved, we can post the solution here to help other Community members who may encounter the same problem.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Hello Lukas,

Thank you for your reply.

The workstation is a Dell Precision 7960.
The operating system is Windows 11.
I downloaded the NVM 3.7 firmware update for the X550-T2 cards from the Intel website.

I have contacted them also but they do not find a solution.
How can I contact your support team?

Best regards

Hello @cwiertel,

Thank you for your reply.

I see that you were able to connect with our Technical Support team, and they are currently investigating the issue.

For future reference, StarTech.com only supports firmware updates posted on the product page for the specific product. Firmware obtained from third-party websites is not supported. We recommend updating firmware only if you are experiencing a functionality issue and have confirmed that the update addresses that issue.

Before updating the firmware, please review the included documentation or contact our Technical Support team to confirm that the update is appropriate for your situation. An unnecessary or unsuccessful firmware update may affect device functionality, so please contact our Technical Support team if you need assistance with the update process.

We will update this post with the results once our team has finished investigating this with you.
