USB32HD2 using certain screens with RDP session

Hi
I use multiple USB 3.0 Dual HDMI adapters(USB32HD2) to allow dual screens to run off a laptop and open within a RDS session.
This has been achieved using the following and always worked.

Unfortunately since the release of 24H2 on Windows 11 i have been hitting issues where the RDP session will open half on the laptop screen and half on a monitor, i can drag and resize on the 2 monitors but as soon as you minimize it reverts back.
All drivers are latest.
Anyone else having similar?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting on the Startech.com Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing some difficulty using USB32HD2 and would be happy to help look into this for you.

To clarify the issue you are experiencing, are you connecting to a remote computer that has USB32HD2 connected and the windows are opening incorrectly, or is the local computer the one using USB32HD2 and it is the window used for the Remote Desktop session on the local computer that is opening partially on one display and part on another?

If the second option is the case, do any other programs experience the same behavior or is this the only one?

Can I also please ask the make and model of the computer and displays?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Lukas
Thanks for the reply.
The USB32HD2 is connected to the laptop (Dell Vostro 3525) which is connected to 2 x Dell P2222H (HDMI).
I can confirm the only issue is when using RDP on the 2 x Dell screens, even though i have told the RDP session to open the Dell screens, when opening up it will open partially on the laptop screen and partially on one of the monitors, this can be resized by dragging the screens to the correct location but as soon as you minimize the issue comes back.
i have been doing more research since i opened the ticket and can confirm that if i update the graphics driver (browse computer, pick from available drivers, select driver and install) then it will resize correctly.
But on reboot the issue will reappear.

Hello @Deano123,

Thank you for your reply.

Can I please clarify, when you say you are updating the graphics driver are you updating the driver of your computer’s video card or the driver for our device? If it is for our adapter, can I ask the file you are using to update the driver?

I would recommend to try uninstalling then reinstalling the driver for USB32HD2 using the latest driver on our website.

If possible, I would also suggest testing with a different computer to see if another computer experiences the same behavior.
