We are using a brand new i3 Touch Display. The display is connect via a AT-OME-EX-KIT-LT HDBaseT Extender from Atlona and than connect to our MacBook Pro by USB-C via a Startech DK30C2HAGPD, with Video 1 connect via HDMI to the Atlona Extender.
When we plug-in the USB-C from Startech, the Display gets immediately a signal from our MacBook on HDMI 2. However, the connection is highly unstable and often the screen turns to black showing the HDMI 2 sign.
Could it be that the Startech DK30C2HAGPD is not compatible with MacBooks?
Thank you for posting on the Startech.com Community!
I am sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced with our DK30C2HAGPD.
Our DK30C2HAGPD is supported with Mabooks for a single display. Can I please ask the following:
- What is the year of the Macbook Pro?
- What version of MacOS is being used?
I would recommend to simplify the setup for troubleshooting by connecting the display directly to DK30C2HAGPD to confirm if you experience the same connectivity issues when bypassing the extender.
I would also suggest reaching out to our team support team directly using the options at StarTech.com Support. Live interactions through phone or live chat can often have a quicker turnaround to a resolution and then we can update the community post with the resolution.
