ISSUE with NOTECONS02 Hdmi to VGA adapter

I wanted to use a HDMI to VGA adapter to plug into a mini-pc HDMI, and had no luck. I contacted StarTech who suggested I get a StarTech.com 1080p 60Hz HDMI to VGA High Speed Display Adapter (HD2VGAE2) which I did and still cannot get it to recognize video to the Crash Cart Software… Only the middle “Server VGA” light wont go on…. I did make sure my CONS is working properly and a VGA port does work by itself.

I have seen people use a vga to HDMI converter and I am perplexed why the recommended adapter isn’t working. I have use both bundles software apps for the NOTECONS02. None work.

Any suggestions?

From what I understand, you’ve tested the NOTECONS02 on another VGA source/computer and this works, right? If so, my recommendation would be to test the server’s output: does it work directly on an HDMI monitor? And if so, could you also test with our HD2VGAE2 adapter and a VGA monitor?

At this point, the best is to remove the Crash Cart from the equation and verify the output directly in order to isolate where exactly does the problem come from.
