I am trying to duplicate a 4TB drive to another 4TB drive in standalone copy mode. When I insert both drives the indicators light up blue. I then press the START duplication button and both drive LED’s appear to flash blue AND red and the first progress LED flashes blue. Both the Power and PC/Copy buttons are solid blue and red respectively. I am not seeing any progress on the progress LED.
I have tried it with 2 different source drives and 2 different destination drives and as soon as I click START, the lights appear as indicated above. The source drives are from a Synology NAS that used a RAID configuration.
Hello @coptechs and thank you for your interest in our Community.
Based on what you’ve described, this appears to be a startup/confirmation issue rather than a drive problem.
-
On power‑up, please confirm the dock is in COPY mode.
The PC/COPY LED must be red, not blue. If it’s blue, press and hold the PC/Copy button for ~3 seconds until it turns red before pressing START.
-
Wait for the Drive LEDs for each drive to be illuminated blue before hitting START.
It may take up to 10 seconds for the LEDs to illuminate. When both drives are BLUE, then press the START duplication button to begin duplicating.
If the destination drive is smaller than the source drive, the LED for the drive that you’re
duplicating data to will blink red to indicate an error.
Here is a table of the LED status:
Please let us know what the results are, we look forward to hearing back from you.
