Mouse speed and acceleration with 4 port KM switch

I just got a P4A20132-KM-SWITCH and it is working really well, except I guess I am somewhat picky about the mouse speed and acceleration. I found an undocumented setting that you can access via hotkey:

HK_LCode + Alt (Hold) + S

This toggles through three speeds of mouse tracking. You’ll hear one, two, or three beeps.

I’m wondering if anyone knows about any other undocumented settings, especially one to enable mouse acceleration.

What do I mean by acceleration? I have used the 3-beep level and that works great for quickly moving the pointer across multiple displays. However, I find it difficult on that setting to select text or place the cursor over small buttons. That is the exact problem that OS-level acceleration is meant to solve, but because this KM switch presents as a tablet or other absolutely positioned device, the OS cannot apply acceleration. So I would love to learn there is another undocumented feature that will enable acceleration.

Hello @danielew and thank you for your interest in our Community.

The mouse speed setting you found is an undocumented, but supported hotkey function for this device. It adjusts the mouse DPI/tracking speed and cycles through three levels with the audible beep feedback you described. One important note is that this setting only takes effect when Mouse Roaming is enabled.

At this time, we do not have any additional supported hotkey to enable mouse acceleration specifically. In general, for remote-control style use cases like this, we typically recommend disabling mouse acceleration on the host computer because it usually provides better pointer precision and control.

We are currently working on updating the manual to include additional supported hotkey functions for this product, so more information should be available in future documentation.

Thanks again for the helpful feedback.
