PM1115UW Printer Status "Offline" Despite being otherwise set up, won't print

I am setting up my PM1115UW with a Dymo LabelWriter 4XL in Windows 10. I have it connected through ethernet for now, though my hope is to have it working wirelessly once I get it working. I have used the setup utility following this guide and this guide, and for all intents and purposes it looks like it’s been set up, except the printer shows up as Offline in the print server interface, and it will not print (test page or anything else). I have tried printing with a Windows PC as well as a Mac - both will find the printer when setting it up, but neither will print. I receive a “Printer Busy or Error” error in the print queue on Windows.

Things that look right:

  • I can see the print server in my router configuration, indicating it’s connected to my network.
  • On both Windows and MacOS the printer was found when configuring through IP and I was able to successfully set up the printer on both systems as a network printer.
  • When I use the config utility it appears to find the printer just fine and sets it up successfully. But when I check the print server itself it is showing up as Offline.
  • The printer USB is connected to the print server and I have confirmed the printer has power.

I have tried resetting the Print server and re-setting it up, as well as restarting my computer, restarting the printer, etc. Nothing seems to be working. Help, please. Thank you.

As a follow-up I was able to get it working. I went into Windows Print configuration, removed all of the old ports that were set up by my previous attempts, factory reset the print server, and re-set everything up. It’s working on my PC! Now to just get it working on my Mac.

Hello @fuzzyleaves,

Thank you for posting on the Startech.com Community. I am happy to hear you were able to get the issue solved!

If you require further assistance with the print server, due to the complexity of the product I would recommend contacting us via Live Chat or phone which can help us better understand what is going on and will often lead to a quicker resolution.
