Hello,
I have the StarTech’s SAT32MSAT257 mSATA SSD to 2.5in SATA Adapter Converter, which works quite well as advertised. Just recently, however, I’ve discovered that there is a footprint, right next to the SATA connector, labeled USB! Does this mean this adapter can also work as mSATA to USB adapter? Does this require some additional components to be soldered in? Besides the unpopulated USB connector (most probably USB-micro) and footprints for D2, C2, C5, C11 and C20 right next to it, I also see, on the other end of the PCB the footprint for some U2 IC with accompanying passive components around. If yes, the schematics of the board could be very helpful, or at list the full BOM to make it into the mSATA to USB converter!!
Thank you and kind regards – Mac Ha
